Molly Bear

Brett has a cute nickname for our daughter, but the nickname has an even cuter story behind it.

We had our first doctor's appointment at 9 weeks and because it was still too early to hear the heartbeat we got to have a sonogram! Now, as i understand it, if you haven't had a baby in the last 5-10 years or so, very rarely did you get the pleasure of getting a sonogram at all unless there was a concern. Well, the way I look at it, we were super lucky to get one so early. That first glimpse at Molly (or Baby Flash as we referred to her at the time, not knowing if she was a boy or a girl) was amazing! She was only about the size of a grape but we got to see her, and she already looked like a little baby! We could see her her head, body and little stubby arms and legs. She was moving all around and dancing and wiggling her arms and legs all around, but it was soooo cute! Just like a little teddy bear!! And the name stuck--we can't wait to meet our little Molly Bear!

The first glimpse--she was so tiny, the sonogram tech really had to zoom in close!

Zoomed in--can you see her little arms? She was already cute at 9 weeks!!
